One major difference I have noticed (that make PC's better, IMHO), is that Windoze allows ALOT more than 15 characters in the filename, unless OS X fixed this.
I will always prefer the Mac for its ease of use. Replacing hardware (at least in this old Performa/LC 475 I have) is literally a snap. In a PC, you have to be a friggen NASA expert (go ahead, figure out Master/Slave/Primary/Secondary, especially if you are a newbie, or a do-it-yourselfer). Most of todays software (warez) have totally ignored the Mac. I use both, I get the best of both worlds (this email was generated on the Mac).
