They're the ones who answer questions that dozeusers never ask, they're the ones who were nice enough to park my son's domain on their server for free and link it to his e-mail account on my internet account, they're the ones that are allowing me to run my new domain from my "personal website space" rather than charging me $30 a month to host it ... They're the ones I recommended to City Council when the city first started thinking of providing internet service along with cable tv. But as they grow, more and more stuff needs to be automated if the prices are going to stay down and they're going to be able to service the loans to buy all the servers, etc. If they have to pay staff to do what *can* be done on an https site without human intervention, if they are going to be protected from knowing everyone's password -- which makes them rather vulnerable if anything goes wrong anywhere -- they need to switch over to the software that's available for private internet account management. I don't blame them -- far from it! It's just that being unable to use httpS sites, and not having dozeware installed so I could use some browser besides Arachne, leaves me in a bad position. -- Learn about B'FOR Join B'FOR - B'mothers For Open Records B'FOR www.b-for.org [Associate members of triad also welcome; membership confidential.] -- Arachne V1.61, NON-COMMERCIAL copy, http://arachne.cz/
