Cathy, I don't know if this is your problem or not, but we had the same problem with our HP scanjet 5590 only scanning one page on the Automatic Document Feeder before crashing Ariel. Out IT person used RegScrub XP to clean up the registry on the computer and reinstalled the scanner. That solved the problem, until an automatic update from Microsoft Windows came through and again we couldn't use the ADF for more than on page. Fortunately, the IT person left RegScrub XP on the desktop, so when these Windows automatic updates come through and I test the ADF and it won't work, I run RegScrub XP to clean up the registry and then the ADF works fine. I used the ADF a while ago and it scanned several pages successfully.
If you also have Odyssey on any of your computers, be sure you close it before you scan in Ariel, and vice versa, just to be sure the scanner doesn't get messed up. Fujitsu 5650 that scans multiple pages just fine but will not scan duplex which it did before. Has anyone experienced these issues and/or resolved them without purchasing a new scanner?
