We got an fi-5015C. It gives the same message as yours but still works. However, the dither won't work. It stays grayed out. Ariel support gave me some generic tips, but none of them worked. Fujitsu tech support wasn't able to resolve the problem, so a Fujitsu engineer is supposed to call me.

We are having a hard time finding a half-size SCSI card at all. Our campus is big on HP, but it seems that at least some of the recommended HP's don't allow full scanning functionality with Ariel.
