We got an fi-5015C. It gives the same message as yours but still works.
However, the dither won't work. It stays grayed out. Ariel support
gave me some generic tips, but none of them worked. Fujitsu tech
support wasn't able to resolve the problem, so a Fujitsu engineer is
supposed to call me.

We have just upgraded to the Fujitsu fi-6670 which uses USB or SCSI.
Ariel complains about the TWAIN driver not being 1.8 or lower but it
works fine.

Subject: [ARIE-L] Requesting recommendation for USB scanner to work with
Ariel 3.4

I am looking for a new USB scanner that will work with Ariel 3.4. I
would appreciate any recommendations. Our old Fujitsu 15C worked very
well, but SCSI cards like it uses are problematic with newer small form
factor PC's like we have. We are having a hard time finding a half-size
SCSI card at all. Our campus is big on HP, but it seems that at least
some of the recommended HP's don't allow full scanning functionality
with Ariel. There are no scanners on our campus that compatible with
Ariel, so I can't test anything here. We want something that will
handle both ADF and flat bed scanning.

Thanks.
