Hi,
  We have seen a similar message with a different error code.
 "File could not be converted to TIFF format Err #9" - Ariel 4.1
We don't have an answer for what is causing this, but we are getting around
the message by manually doing what it seems to want...
We are using MyMorph to convert the documents to TIFF's and then we can
import them.
  We'd love to know what is causing this, please respond to the list if you
get an answer...
Cheers!
