What I love most about ATM is that the songs are purely Rahman..no
other music director in India could have possibly composed songs of
this caliber....I really respect the fact that he experimented, even
though the music is for a completely commercial Vijay movie....that
takes major artistic fortitude.....i am sick of all those negative
reviews out there...this album is an INSTANT CLASSIC....those who
don't go liek it can go listen to Harris, Priotam, Yuvan,. SEL,
Himesh..etc..those guys do come up with good stuff time to time..but
they never EVOLVE the way Rahman does...Rahman tries something new on
EVERY soundtrack of his..some morons say that his work isn't up to
Roja, Dil Se, Taal, etc. etc...guys...Rahman has moved BEYOND those
albums.,..you can't repeat what you were doing in the late '90s
now....with THREE solid soundtracks this year (Guru, Sivaji, and ATM
(possibly the best out of the 3))....we should celebrate the musical
master more than ever!!!!!1

1. Ponmugal Vandhal 8.5/10

i'm not going to get into who should be credited for the
remix..etc.....the rap is awesome...the beat and tune go really
well...ASLAM IS ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS OUT THERE!!!

2. Maduraka Pondadadi 10/10

great village songs...ARR surpasses his earlier pure village songs...i
like the variations in the later verses (esp. the "dhum, dhum
parts by the husky voiced female singer...in the same league as the
wonderful "kama karayil" from Varalaru (a criminally underrated album)

3. Valayapatti 10/10

one of the most experiemental songs i've heard...folk and
carnatic!!!...mixed with many, many other genres in between...it
sounds bizzare at times but that's a very good thing..ARR is expanding
out musical horizons

4. Kelamal 10/10

the vocals are fantastic...it's one of those epic romantic tracks and
has a club feel as well....really powerful stuff

5. nee marilyn monroe 10/10

has a funk groove that hasn't been heard in indian music...pretty much
a terrific r&b song

6. elapoguzhum 8.5/10

i don't liek this one as much as eveyrone else..i still like it a lot
though....has a similar vibe to the titile track from Ah Aah...but it
evolves into something else as it goes on..i love the epic horns in
the middle..and the last minute or so are jaw-droppingly good and take
the song in unexpected directions

Overall: 9.5/10

nobody can f*** with ARR!!!!!
