Thanks for confirming that you also concede that AG is not any imaginative to come up with a situation for a type of a song if he wished. > Ultimately the film was a love story Then it was a first love story that had "Over 80 elephants, 100 horses and 55 camels" quoting from http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Jodha_Akbar > and it was overall well depicted with some flaws here and there which > are excused.. That is a group approach. I also excuse MDs and directors for small things. AFterall they are working in a commercial world. But no excuse for AG in JA. If AAmir had interfered in Lagaan, or SRK in swades, that was understandable because they were established and AG was new. But now AG is a name to reckon with and Hritik/ Aish are not at all interfering type. AG could have called all the shots in JA and he did. That is why the conceptual flaws of JA are solely on AG's head. > > The music of JA was one of its strongest points and will continue to > remain so, in my opinion. We can all speculate on what AG told ARR or > what he didn't. The moot point is it is for them to decide whether it > was as per their needs or now. Of course, we are speculating. But we also know that ARR is a serious sincere person and he would give utmost weightage to anything a director tells him about the film. So, if ARR had been aware of the direction the movie was taking, he would have given music according to that. Afterall, he gave a very appropriate music for Mangal Pandey. And, if ARR was aware of the movie's direction and still gave personal music, then it is indeed ARR's failure. Sorry for blaming AG all along. > > I haven't heard a better melody than Jashn-e-bahaara or In Lamhon Ke > daaman me for quite some time now. Sonu in In Lamhon Ke Daaman has > excelled himself. Now, using Javed's name in same sentence in which Gulzar saheb's name is , is a blasphemy. :-) he he he. javed is a kid writer in front of gulzar. Gulzar writes from heart. Javed writes from head. There is no match. > Now that you have made mention of it, let me know switch to Jodha Akbar > on my playlist and relive it once again.
