I did not feel any similarity. But, I can understand your american friend who 
has grown up with that music will find it very easy to identify. We all try to 
identify new things with something we already know. At the most, they are 
similar genre.

In one of the comments in youtube, they say it has a very brazilian feel to the 
music. So, I guess the search will always be on.

AJ, and thanks for letting us know about ELP.. i just head few tracks of them 
in YouTube. The Endless Enigma 1 and 2 are really awesome.  also the Sheriff 
song :) I just discovered some great music.

The guitar strumming in VTV song is somewhat reminiscent of "From the 
beginning".  Just the feel though.. not the tune.  That too is classy stuff. 

Gotta get some of their songs.
