Sustaining this enthusiasm is certainly what is more important.

But, I have been plannings something like that for a while. I didn't want to
do it on my own as it will end up nowhere. I am bad in maintaining web
sites. In addition, i think a website like this should belong to this group.

Database is definitely the way to do it. static websites will be nearly
impossible to edit and update.

like you said, the main thing is not just the technical side of the project.
we will need people to collect these information, segregate and sort it in
what ever order that is necessary for each type of data that we are going to
save.

When I first posted about it, I was thinking of using WordPress as a back
end.  It is a blogging platform. but it can be modded and made to work like
what we have in mind.  in addition, it will also help in posting reviews and
articles whenever necessary.

Like I said, those are technical side of it and they are not what is the
most important part. it's the willingness of people and how long it will
last.
