I want to add my well wishes to Doug on his retirement! I remember a brief encounter with him on a technical question - maybe a newbie one - during something like an "Evening with Engineering" at an Orlando RUG (2001?). He & the other staff were helpful, friendly, and of course, knowledgable. That experience, plus the posts I've seen from him over the years with his enthusiasm for helping people solve problems & for explaining how things worked, have always given me a good impression of him and the people around him.
I'm also sad to see this list go. Though my university left the ARSystem platform a while back, the arslist was an important resource for me. Thanks to all of you who have contributed to this list over the years, from running it to those who gave thoughtful answers, sometimes very detailed. It was a pleasure to be a part of this list!
