Chris,
Do you have a resource where you are getting your information of the "impaired quality" from OS X 10.5? We are starting to support the Mac OS and I would like to find out more. Most of the rags I've been reading have given Apple good reviews on 10.5 although I understand there have been some upgrade issues.

Also - I've found that FireFox works much better than Safar but I haven't completed any testing against Mid-Tier yet.

Br,
Russ

...and first you have to consider the growing number of problems with
compatibility and security that are cropping up on OS X 10.5. We tested
Safari 3.0.3 beta successfully against 7.1 and were eagerly anticipating
the production Safari 3, but now I am in no hurry at all to trash my
Macs with 10.5 until Apple gets some serious fixes out. I guess they
diverted way too many resources to new handheld devices, and it not only
slowed the 10.5 release but seriously impaired the quality of it. Maybe
by the time we actually go live with 7.1...

Just tested Safari on OSX 10.5 and ARS 7.1 and it works great! I
submitted this as an enhancement request in 2003. Now we just have to
upgrade the operating system on 500 Macs :(
