Good point, Norm. Truthfully, in any production or near-production environment, for any application not just Remedy, automatic updates are probably a bad idea. Updates should be tested carefully prior to implementation.
I can remember a handful of times where a windows update broke a line-of-business application. --- J.T. The only thing I would add that got truncated from Gary's cutting and pasting is that Windows users should go into the Java Control Panel and turn automatic updates OFF. Having Java updates turned on is the number one cause of this problem. = _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org Platinum Sponsor: www.rmsportal.com ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are"
