I have a user whom is getting the typical "user is connected from
another machine" error even though she has not accessed her account from
any other computer. I look up in the arerror.log file, it shows her old
and new ip address. I was going to do an NSLookup on the names, and then
check a program I have access to that shows me who last logged into that
computer to see what is going on. However, the IP addresses in the logs
are very weird. At first, they look to be in hex, but then I convert,
and get an impossibly large number.

They consist of four sets of colon-delimited hex strings. Each of the
second sets has a - at the front of it.

Does anyone have any guidance on this? Are they IPV6 ips?

Thanks,

Gary Opela, Jr.
