Make sure your LD_LIBRARY_PATH includes /usr/ar/bin.  The libraries in
./api/lib are dependent on libraries in ./bin.  You can check the
dependancies using ldd.  E.g.,

$ ldd /usr/ar/api/lib/arapi71.so
