I can think of a boat load of uses, and Rick, the airplane bit was of interest to me as well, and yes, if the Kinetic product bypasses the Flash limitation kudos to them, and a whole other set of uses for the iPad become apparent. Since I am a pragmatist and strive for simplicity, I think an extra 15 minutes to use one filter instead of 10, I like the Apple approach. Granted, much of their approach is self serving protectionism which gets annoying at times, but their build quality and refinement is appealing. That being said, I have to wait a few weeks to get my hands on one in Canada so I could still change my mind (although you can guess I am planning on buying one). I'd go further, but I am already somewhat off topic. sorry. .... Dan

Despite some of the obvious limitations of the technology, there's certainly a demographic that is (at least initially) finding this useful. John - Does KD Response work as well? She wants to use a computer and access the internet. She's never used a computer and hates using a mouse. She loves pointing at things. The iPad is pretty much the perfect device for someone like that. J Tauf Chowdhury | Forest Laboratories, Inc. It's cool that the Kinetic apps work, but I think I'll be waiting for a Windows or Android based equivalent that costs $200 and is capable of things like copy and paste, multitasking, flash, installing software that doesn't require the manufacturer's approval, letting you change the battery, etc. Sorry, I just don't understand the fascination with recent Apple products. It's a great marketing tool if you can use it with your software, but as a consumer I am not convinced. I played around with one at the Apple store and found it interesting, but it seems too limiting to me. _____ This e-mail and its attachments may contain Forest Laboratories, Inc. proprietary information that is privileged, confidential or subject to copyright belonging to Forest Laboratories, Inc.
