As a workaround until you add the task form or an active link guide to the list of entry points, there is an OOTB link. It's on Foundation > Overview Console, there is a search for tickets button on the right side. It opens a dialog with a list of ticket types, choose Task to open the task form in search mode.
There are 4 things needed to display a form in the application list. 1. The end user needs to be in a group/role that has Visible permission to the form. (They are all hidden by default) 2. Add an Entry Point label to the view. 3. Check the box in the form definition under Entry Points 4.
