"The bw with decaying buildings is
spooks most people. While there are other things that
kept them from
buying in AP, that is a large part of it."

i dont think the boardwalk buildings spook anyone that
much really. look at places in nyc, where there are
high end condos accross from pure hell. for the most
part, people who are buying condos dont exactly care
whats around them. but sticking with what you said,
about the boardwalk buildings being spooky. scaring
people. imagine if 2 years ago, they started work on
the boardwalk. and all those people going to the
newly improved boardwalk had to drive though the rest
of the oceanfront. all those boarded up, scary, run
down motels. you cant do both, but if the boardwalk
went first. youd be dealing with the same scinario.
the boardwalk buidlings do not look bad. sure, some
people dont like the paint jobs they got. but its
only paint, aside from that, there the same shape,
same buidlings that hve been there for 25 years. the
pavillion behind club paradise, with all the new
stores looks good. i recall saying this a few years
ago when they were painted. they needed to do
something, to show everyone things were changing. a
different color showed that. i know a lot of people
liked the bricks, but those bricks looked like they
were from 20 years ago. the same way stinbachs looks
on cookman. i hope they bleach or do something to
make them look more up to date.
