Actually, the Albion, the Bradley, et al came down on 10/24/01. That
is three summers wasted. During those 3 3/4 years the boarded up,
scary, run down motels provided parking for the Paradise, the Pony,
the Wonder Bar, the Clearwater festival, the Pride Festival, the
Jazz festival, and all the other things there are to bring tourist
dollars to this town.

I remember during the Southside Johnny concert on 7/4/02, there were
at least 1000 people walking the boardwalk, and NOTHING for them to
buy. I almost wanted to rent a hot dog cart 'til I found out what
the Master Developer was charging for vending rights. At that point
it was apparent he was deliberately trying to run the boardwalk into
the ground. It's just taken HoJos & the Casino three years to give
out.
