"I once [said] a curse word to a lawyer. In hindsight, that curse
word accomplished nothing. All it did was make me look bad"

So what did Tommy learn, not to avoid curse words but to condemn
others for using language he finds offensive, when it so suits him.

What does Tommy find offensive? Any thing, word or event that he
can't control or dominate; our Tommy's holier than thou position is
very simple, do as I say not as I do.

Sadly he learned this not in court but when he was much younger, say
about 11.
