Jack, if you check the archives you'll notice that justified left this group in the spring and returned on October 13.  His first post: "Keady Resignation Demand  Today I called for Jim Keady to resign his City Council position,....  (message  18066)
 
And then the tenor of posts got hotter and as you say now ugly.
 
Compare the posts here during his hiatus.  A much more civil tone here, though not always agreeable.
 
justified brings out the worst in people.
 
Always pouring more oil on troubled waters.
