Fred; would you say the city didn't chase anyone if cops went to a
bathing suit store and told them they'd be enforcing the city's
ordinance of "no one in bathing attire allowed on boardwalk or
adjacent walkways"? Three prominent city officials gave me a verbal
go ahead to spend $14,000.00 on a new fleet, with the mutual feeling
that it was good for the city. Then after I spent the money, based on
those words (you're right, my mistake); and spent the time to
assemble all of those rentals; they told me I couldn't rent them.
Everyone knew fro m day one that I'd have rentals; and everyone told
me not to worry about it. And I figured, why worry, the drug dealers
and whores are allowed to go on about their business, though
obviously against city ordinances; why should I have a problem when
everyone agrees that this is actually a good thing? Blame me for
investing in this shithole, your absolutely right, I shouldn't have.
Everyone I've spoken to agrees that this corrupt city can't do
anything right.
