I have little confidence in the Historical Society. I have never been
invited to any meeting regarding the park. In spite of being a
founding/life member and organizer of the preservation committee.

I'm confused by your statement -

 "Only one of the old lights is out. There is a newer one near the
center of the park that is intermittent."

I though the situation is that there are NO functioning lights.

Which is the case?
