the fact alone that this artist has provoked you all in talking about art, I think is a success story.
Also, you cannot compare the graffiti on the side of a building that is neglected, to your front door at home. The Baronet is not a public building, it is privately owned by developers that have decided to let it become damaged. This would not happen at your home, or on a public building. It is something that was making a statement. And that statement was a catalyst for making someone wake up, which is what street art's function is. It wakes up people that are numb. There was more damage down to the Baronet by the demo company that didnt pay attention to where they backed up their trucks and damaged the side of the building..that caused more damage than spray paint did.. And those of you who still think that street artists and graffiti artists are not "real" artists, check out the show that is currently up at the Tate modern in London. ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
