Here's what I found out:
Because AP is non-partisan, the City Council members have 30 days from
the resignation to fill the seat. If they don't fill the seat, it
stays vacant until May's election.
If AP was a partisan town, the political party would put up 3 names
for the council to choose from. If the council didn't act in 30 days,
the party could fill the seat from the 3 names.
So it will be up to Kevin, Jimmy, John, & Ed to determine if they want
to fill the seat or leave it vacant.
I say fill it to the rim with Amy Quinn or Michael Brim.
How's that for poetry!
Or how about: "Time to sail with Paul Vail."
Or maybe: "Here we go with Mario!"
Or: "The future is heaven with Maureen Nevin!"
Who are you folks interested in seeing take that seat?
