On the contrary, I think its a good question. I do
think that questions like this need to thought of and
answered to the best of our abilities. Why should we
avoid asking such questions? And answering them?

I think a question like the one Barua asked, may
actually go to heart of the problem that the NE faces
today. As mentioned by Rajib, it is very easy for us
to blame the Center and the Hindi-wallas for our
problems. Then how is it that the South has somehow
circumvented that and forged ahead, while we have not?
Maybe there are other things that the South has done
or has that the NE doesn't. What are these? Is it
possible for the NE to adapt to situational
requirements, so as not to be under the yolk of Delhi
(short of sovereignty)?
No, we don't have all the answers, but we could try.
