the IP blocking takes place (and HAS to take place) at the early stage
so ASSP may NOT have any info about the sender (just the IP); imHo
the mechanism is ok "as is" since it's meant to help rejecting incoming
connections from IPs from which we don't want to receive ANY traffic at
all; there already are other mechanisms to achieve what you are asking,
in such a case, just remove the blocked IP from the blocklist and use
the
other filtering to detect good/bad messages
