Is it possible to send audio from a sip phone to asterisk say VM without asterisk sending anything back? If so, it may pay to try that and cough on the phone. If asterisk is not sending anything back, you should get nothing back on the phone. Is there an application I could use to test this? I.E. like the echo test, but doesn't send anything back...
