I have a VIA EPIA and it has never stopped. I think it is the MII but can't remember now. It came with an onboard CF reader/ Cardbus slot. I removed it as it was socketed and turned off all unused ports in the bios. I then use an IDE to CF adaptor for booting it. Works a treat.
