You probably also upgraded ivtv to 0.7.1. mythtv itself would not be able to manipulate any driver/modprobe configs. Unless you mean that mythtv initialized the card in such a way that you cannot reinitialize anymore. You should isolate whether the issue is ivtv or mythtv, e.g. reboot and check w/o using mythtv whether the card works. If then mythtv breaks it report to mythtv lists.
