I think tda9887 isn't recognized since a very long time in ivtv.

No, just installing mythtv would not touch anything in ivtv at
all. mythtv is driverless and just talks to the driver if you a) fire
up mythtv and b) setup mythtv-setup to access the ivtv device. Since
neither happened mythtv cannot manipulate the driver in any way. And
even if it did it wouldn't be able to invalidate its options, these
are fixed.

I guess that the tda9887 line was ignored previously, too, you just
didn't notice when the system was running properly. The question still
remains why you lost sound, and I would take that to the ivtv lists,
mythtv seems very innocent if it wasn't even started. :)
