Hi Miguel

I'm not sure I understand correctly. Are you translating both offline and via
Transifex? There are 4 translators in the Galician team on Transifex. They
could edit/add translations while you work in e.g. PoEdit. This could lead to
annoying situations and double work.

Transifex is not mandatory. Like said previously: the "official" translator
(member of the translators mailing list) decides if Transifex is used or not.
I would recommend working in only one platform (offline or Transifex).

Transifex of course has the benefit of being able to choose which resource to
translate. It also supports "watching" the project so you get notifications
when new strings are available to translate.

Regards

Thomas

Hi Thomas.

Working on two platforms at the same time gives a little more work but nothing
that is disruptive, translating offline and sending the .po to Transifex, or
vice versa, only requires a minimal revision, so I think it is best not to
change anything, keep sending the "official" translations through the list and
as long as you can continue to provide them to Transifex.

Hi Miguel

You are coordinator for the Galician translation team on Transifex. Do you want
to keep translating Audacity using Transifex? I

As you will read in my prevous mails to the translators mailing list: you still
have to submit completed translations to the mailing list. Transifex is merely
a tool (but a very handy one) to translate.

If you want to translate "offline" or by using another tool, please let me
know, so I can delete the Galician translation team. I'd like to prevent
translators working on two different platforms!

Also, there are two separate source files in Transifex. More information about
that here:

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me!

Thomas

My apologies if I come in out of time, but health problems had me isolated from
this subject and now I find myself with many threads of mail.

Although I've forgotten it a bit lately, I'm the only translator into Galician.
I had also updated the translation in Transifex on some occasions.

I would like to continue to be responsible for this translation after the
migration to Transifex.
