Re: Why is jaws 13.0 a piece of shit?

Hi.

Yeah, I know. There are times I get so angry at all these companies that say they're trying to help the blind but end up forcing us to pay for something that really isn't worth the high price of $1200. THen to make matters worse all of this stuff for the blind seems to be majorly flawed.
I have not used Jaws as much as window-eyes, but I have had issues with both so don't recommend them to anyone.
Now I always say get a mac, you can get the cheapest mac laptop for less than a windows computer and jaws or window-eyes. Oh, and you only pay $20 or so for both screen reader and operating system updates, not $600 or what ever insane price Freedom Scientific and GW have set.
Anyway I'm getting off-topic.
Of course NVDA is good too but you have to install that just like jaws.
I agree, government agencies should be informed of this other stuff like VoiceOver and NVDA. I don't think it would work though. Everyone seems to be stuck in the Jaws is the best screen reader ever mode.
Anyway sorry for going off-topic.
