How in the world did you manage to hold onto recover rings like that if you haven't finished the stage yet?
The discs are all numbered, use the object locator to find out how. The idea is to rearrange the discs into the number that you found on the piece of paper from the mud killer. Use a very weak weapon that only hits one thing at a time. Then, hit one of the discs, whichever one you like... then hit a second disc at any given position, and those discs will swap places. Repeat this until you get the number. there is no one particular strategy to this... since the discs are random every time you play.
