Actually, tri-typing is one thing I have zero issue with. That's a find-out-for-yourself thing because it doesn't actually give anyone any advantages. It could be mentioned very roughly once (that manamon can have up to three types), but that's it. This gives no one an advantage, it just shakes up gameplay.
I also have no issues with the guards/puzzles. They're a bit tough, some of 'em, but quite doable. Actually, it's one of the innovations I applaud. I can't get into a ton of specifics without spoiling them but I actually wish there were more of them, particularly in stadiums.
I'm getting doubly wary of posting hard opinions on this though. I mean, I do have a fairly pointedly critical thread aimed at Paladin of the Sky elsewhere here on these forums, and what I distinctly do not want is to be seen as the person hating on Aaron's games, or as the person who will bitch no matter how tight something is.
With that said, I would love to edit the script a bit. Mostly for grammar issues I've seen popping up from time to time; the actual storyline is pretty good. I was surprised a couple of times, and that's not easy to do. I would be willing to actually do these edits if I had the source file/if I had a copy of it somewhere I could get at, if nothing else to fix all the places where commas are lacking. The better your presentation, after all, the better a game will be received; there's no good reason to leave stuff like this dangling loose, particularly not if it's just newly released, when future endeavours might hinge on how well this game is taken.
