Cider from Trans Gaming is really marketed at game developers rather than end users. This is why Rockstar Games got GTA San Andreas on the app store, using Cider, nothing more. You could rip out the contents of the mac app, clearly visible, and play the same game on Windows. And it's a much more solid environment.
