another thing, make the decision if you want to be a brawler or a shooter, which ever one you choose, setup your techniques, to have either mostly melee attacks, or gun attacks. also go to your equipment, and put on equipment that will boost your stats as a shooter, or brawler, which ever one you choose. make sure you do all of this because enimies will get a bit harder from here on out, and you may die a couple times if you don't understand the combat system. so if you have any other questions about the system don't be afraid to ask
