Okay, good to know you checked that out. A shame, but what can you do.
Also, a correction:
Tri Beam, at some point, was tweaked. Either that or my memory's just not very kind. I am pretty sure Tri Beam used to be 25 power, 75 accuracy, with a chance to hit 3 times. Now it's 30 power, 85 accuracy, and has a chance to hit 3 times. So what you're essentially dealing with now is, on average, a 60-power special magic move with two chances to drop the foe's magic defense. Sometimes you'll do better, sometimes worse. I don't love moves like this because I'd rather do dependable damage, but this looks a lot better on paper than a 75% chance to do on average a 50-power move, so I'll stop hating on it. Haha.
Starting to think designing a team with a lot of Daring Comeback on it might be fun, particularly if it's fast. I'm pretty sure Sacroloon gets it, and I know Enchandithol gets it as well. Bayowoof does too, but Bayowoof is pretty low-tier (wonderful special defense though). The idea of a Daring-Comeback team would be that if you end up in a fight you know you can't win (you're trapped, or you just want to go out with a bang, as it were), since you're quick, if you were weakened in the last fight, smack the foe with Daring Comeback for big damage, die, send something else speedy and with a type advantage out, hit the foe, then start the whole thing over again. And of course, type advantage in general. You don't want to use a manamon just because it has Daring Comeback. Enchandithol can do fairly big damage with Tri Beam or Meteor Rush. Sacroloon can do the whole dual-screen thing, plus Heaven's Winds, plus it's a freaking tank. Eksponge doesn't share any weaknesses with those two, and it's got pretty good defenses on both sides. I have a sneaking suspicion Mortrex can also get Daring Comeback, and if it can...I think I may be onto something here. Pity I really can't get a Mortrex eithout a whole lot of hassle though.
This, I think, is going to be the save file of all save files. I'm eventually going to breed every manamon so that the version I've got has at least good stats across the board. That way I will have a side-by-side comparison, and everything's fair. I'll need to do some trading, and I'll have to either get lucky with one of you folks or try to wrangle it on my own system...but yeah. Either way.
