I do recall at the time Thom Ward mentioning that the problem was to do with jaws intercepting any and all key presses, other than those specifically coded to be exceptions.
I don't think it's specifically a direct x thing, or at least apparently was common in far too many games and different programs, even those written in flash, but I am not certain.
either way so long as you don't mind putting jaws to sleep and using sapi in several games like crazy party, it shouldn't be a problem, ---- certainly not something there would be a need to switch screen readers over.
