What? That's terrible customer service! Is it possible for them to remote into the VPS and enable audio? They may have to get your permission, but at least you'll get the problem solved. I'd contact them again about the issue. That's absolutely unacceptable! If they won't help you, quit paying for that VPS and move on.
Alternatively, you could get a Linux VPS. Linux is cheaper and extremely accessible because you're doing everything from the command line over SSH. Sure, you have to learn the commands, but it works really well once oyu know what you're doing.
