Re: Manamon 2: Impressions Thread

Agreed. The master stadium is...honestly not very difficult if you ask me. I did it on my first playthrough with no issues.

Speaking of first playthrough, someone was expressing incredulity that I beat the game in six days? No no, my friend, I beat it in two and a bit. Started playing approximately 6 p.m. on a Friday. Beat it approximately 6 a.m. on the following Monday (November 4), which I think made me the first player to beat the game. I was not the first to beat Pierre or do all the postgame stuff but I'm pretty sure I was the first to finish the main stadium.

Guys, I think we're reaching that point where roots are being put down. Erratic Battler's going to remain busted. Switch mechanics are going to continue to neuter online gameplay. I'm pretty much at a point where I feel like there's no further need to make suggestions, because the majority are going to be hand-waved. Script was a problem in Paladin and it's still got issues. Balance was a problem in Manamon 1 and it's better, but still has issues. Some long-standing accuracy and move tweak issues I brought up 2+  years ago are still not fixed, though I do appreciate that there has been some effort to even this out. Change logs are still extremely sparse even though most of the community seems to want more detail. But at the end of the day, overall attitude appears similar, professionalism appears similar from Manamon 1 days, and I think I'm just done beating my head against a wall. There comes a point where one has to decide whether or not a game is worth a lofty price tag. That comes down to game quality, innovation, professionalism, a whole stew of things. Some of those things are very much present, and I'm glad of them. Some of those things have improved a bit, so kudos for that. Some of those things which are crying out for improvement remain stagnant, so I'm just done pushing. Whatever obscurity this game eventually falls into, don't say I didn't predict it.
