I was pretty much in possession of these concepts too, but so I already know for sure that I even need to call another programming language for help, for example because BGT can’t handle the https protocol, as I have experienced.
The server problem has actually been resolved for a long time - on contabo.com I pay a low amount per month for a 200 gigabit VPS package.
However, I agree to write games first that don’t require a network connection yet. And if I have a lot of practice in it one day, I might want to start a project like this.
