That's just it though, I'm not trying to copy and I don't envy Dark in the slightest. He's his own person; I'm my own person. To be Dark I'd have to be Dark, and I'm not Dark, and I don't want to be Dark. I mean, I don't really want to be Nocturnus either under many circumstances, but that's who I turn out to be. There was that day when I fed the trolls pineapple pizza and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I got away, but I promise you while that was going down I was absolutely not wanting to be me.
Perhaps if such an occasion should arise again I'll try being darkturnus for a season to see how that plays out to my advantage, but then all the dark corporations will be after my tail concerned with copyright infringement bla bla bla because I don't sound like a brit and I sound too much like a yank even though I'm honestly not either and tons of biscuits and gravy and yorkshire puddings and crumpets and cookies and tacos and tortilla chips and hotdogs and beans and rice and scones and steak and kidney pies may be devoured before we settle the legality issues, and then we'll be getting into why those legality issues weren't properly settled owing to international jurisdiction and who really won this and that war and before long we're talking about building walls and how bridges in big cities are bad things and huge towers and skyscrapers are simply signs of power flexing and... I think I've painted a good enough picture of how history works? so yeah, that's what would happen if we had a darkturnus. History would more or less be rewritten with the same stupid nonsense.
