@momo, here's the problem with that. I believe this has been discussed before, but the problem that people braught up with space games is the extreme ishue where people would attack one another. They wouldn't even have a valid reason to do it, it would just be attack, then say because your a pirate. This policy was put into place because the out of control killing that was going on in deep space. I do get what your trying to say. The policies do say at dmnb that what you do in deep space is your sol responcibility. But it doesn't mean that its acceptable to be absolutely a jerk. Being a pirate and maybe stealing a few ships, maybe even shooting some down, yes, is acceptable. This is actually what pirates do. They don't go kill absolutely everything in site. They pick their targets wizely. Their's a critical difference between being a pirate because your character is, at heart, a pirate who steals cargo, as aposed to being a complete and total jerk who open s fire on property just because it happens to be their. The ladder is what's being controled by this policy. I'll list the differences below so you can get the exampple. For exampple, we have severe storm steve. He kills, yes. But he doesn't go strate into a sector, blowing up everything he pleases. He has a hide out, he still does other things, and you can still socialize with him. The random killing policy however, is designed to target though's who constantly shoot 12 player owned starships in a single day. Their's plenty of other things for you to shoot at, uncharted colonies vessels, planets in deep space, hell, why not go shoot though's empty planets that people don't need, give them a little house cleaning.
