OK, yes, I can reproduce it, now that I've got things set up right to use faad. I get the same kind of effect that you demoed earlier in the thread (the "whooshing" noise in the background).
I am using "[faad] -w -f2" in convert.conf. Using Fedora Core 4 Linux with faad2-2.0-0.lvn.5.3 and slimserver 6.2.1 - 5119 - Linux - EN - utf8. I used the same faad on the same machine to create a wav directly from the m4a, and this one plays fine.
