This issue could be resolved if someone at Slim would be willing to respond with the SB3's wattage usage. The difference between a 1 amp power supply and a 2 amp supply is that the 2 amp supply is going to be capable of delivering twice the wattage: 10 watts vs. 5.
How much power does the SB3 consume in it's most power hungry state, which I would guess is when it's pumping out maximum signal levels through the analog outputs? The internal workings are going to require some wattage. The display requires some wattage. And the preamp stage requires some wattage.
