Totally off the general line of discussion I know, but just a way off thought, have you any other digi coax's just to swap over see if that makes any difference.......
I was not impressed when I first pluged in my SB, but I eventually found that upgrading my IC between pre/power (it was a basic one) made a huge difference, and it is now far far better than the old source.
