Maybe 24bit refers to the DAC? All-in-all I don't think Slim Devices have anything to worry about, just reading the Naim pdf brochure gave me a migrane. Whether there is a market for this high-end server stuff I don't know, most people who know what they're doing can achieve much the same sort of architecture on a surprisingly small budget using cheap Intel server boxes, squeezeboxes, routers and Linuxy stuff.
The touch-screen panel on the server looks like a nice gimmick but will be ultimately useless. Nice Nokia 770 skin though. :-) Looks like over-engineered, over-priced kit for 40-somethings.
