You know, I didn't want to think I was going insane either, but having just converted all of my Apple Lossless files into WAV files, I think I am getting better sound with the WAV files too. I think you might be correct that the fact that WAV is supported natively by SB/TP might be the right idea. And that perhaps jitter is introduced into a signal when the Apple Lossless or WMA file is converted to FLAC/WAV based on the accuracy of the CPU clock processing the conversion....
