In an earlier thread Balthazar mentioned the benefits of a headless computer music server running Linux. I just upgraded my sons computer and I now have an HP Celeron 631MHZ w/320 Ram running XP available for this purpose. All I want it to do is run Itunes for ripping and managing and Slimserver for serving. It will be hardwired into my network. I am fairly computer literate but know nothing about Linux or how to set up a headless computer. Does anyone know of a good resource that would explain to me how to do this? Thank You.
