Hmmm, have you considered a tubed pre? I know you get a nice discout through your employer, but there are many nice tubed pre's available for a great price.
If interested, I could rattle off a few for under $1500.00, and a couple under $1000.00. IMHO, running a tubed pre with SS amps is a wonderful thing!
